soccer frenzy!

the only place where Brasil belongs - number one! woooo hoooo!

World Cup fever has taken over the Lopez's household (inlcuding all the relatives). Some have come down with a flu version that lasts from June 10-July 9th. Ironically, the beginning to the end of the world cup! hmmmm...

This past week, Brasil played Croatia, winning only by 1 (1-0). We face Australia on Sunday at 10am. no worries, we are all gonna be up, even though its Tio Tony's 40th bday bash the night before. Quite frankly, i think we won't be going home till Sunday at about 1pmish. Other teams I am cheering on:

Espana (spain) Oilers won last night in an overtime short handed goal by northside's one and only, Fernando Pisani! Goo northside!!

bdays & convocation

Woops, so we kinda forgot the real bday candles! But, at least she got a tealight. Thats her roomie's (Jaya) hand holding it for her. And thats the bday girl,making her wish.

Ardyce's bday bbq bash! June 3rd. We got the bday girl the best gift ever! What can I say? We know her too well. Funny thing is, we don't have a picture of it. Or at least i don't!
I know Pooja, Tanvi and I have about a million and one pictures of the three. But in my defense: different occasion + different outfits = new picture!

June 7th - Lil' Gaby turned 16th! I remember when she was 3 years old! Ahh I feel old. Here's her surprise ice cream cake. Oh, thats what candles look like. hahah.

June 8th

3 inch stilletos and a strut along the Jubilee stage and I officially became a teacher/UofA grad/Alumnus! Woot Woot! The ceremony went by really fast. Thanks to the 2 random drunk dudes next to me. They even pulled out a flask out of their robes. It was too funny!

Random Sundays!

I love random sundays with the family.

How many people does it take to set up an easy-1-2-3 badminton net? Apparently - at least 4 of us! The marketing on the box said it was easy. They lied!! After breaking the poles, we duct taped the hell out of them, anchored the net and began to play. Too bad, we were exhausted from the net-setting up process, cuz Gaby and I totally had Pepe and Rod beat ;)
