Although its no huge city in Canada, Edmonton is an awesome place to live! With a lil' help of friends, plenty of scandalous situations arise in this quiet city!

where were you a year ago today?

i am pretty sure this party fell right around a year ago .....oh the good times. the dancing, the music, the constant yelling into the mic., he shall remain annoynmous (did i spell that right?), the chinese food at 4am.

And then there was the cousins' get together, all i have to say is Pepe and the Dakota truck, Pepe trying to buy milk and mentos at Mac's with Rod, and the McDonald's drive-thru....always a good time.

a lil' bit of advice...

what NOT to do on a tuesday night:

1. don't have a bottle of wine all yourself. even if its accidental, still just share. oh wait a minute, everyone is having a bottle to themselves. *phew* that was a close one. (almost made me look like i have a problem)

2. don't invite your coworkers, who drink like fishes, for a 'couple' of drinks.

3. don't go out with the neighbours to the local hangout on a tuesday night. well, you can go out with your neighbours, only if they are not from spain and portugal and students on an exchange program. on a weekend, much brighter idea.

4. don't accept free drinks. well, accept free drinks, but don't accept drinks you don't like, for example, whiskey and red bull. although smells and tastes delicious, it smacks you around like a lil' red headed stepchild.

5. don't decide to do tequila shots, even if they have been bought for you at 2am. And not just one chupito as we call them here, but 3...bad bad idea.

6. don't decide to decorat the apartment you live in with you neighbour on the 'graceful' walk home at 3am, trying to borrow *wink wink* christmas lights, trees and ornaments.

best roomates ever!

Below is the picture of what we like to call, the best roomates ever.
left to right: Flavu from Romania, me, Anna from Poland and Onur from Turkey.

Needless to say, our apartment has now been named the aiesec house, united nations, or i have even heard someone refer it to as party central. Now, lets not get it wrong here, our neighbours are up there with in some stiff competition as to the bottle collection. And of course, its not a competition since they contribute to ours and we contribute to theirs.

Life is getting 'normal' around here. Last minute trips to Milan, impromptu thursday nights at a local pub, weekends beginning on a tuesday - of course with a days break on wednesdays...come on now peoples, we are working individuals after all! Below are some pics from random nights....enjoy.
Until next time,
ciao!
